Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur ® (Formerly known as Puttur Education Society ®) was established in 1915. Vivekananda College of Education was established in 2004 and it was sponsored by Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur ®. VVS has sponsored 24 educational institutions in rural and urban areas. These institutions are Primary schools, High schools, Polytechnic, Engineering College,        Pre-University College, Degree College, B.Ed and D.Ed College.
