Department of MBA

As the environment of organisation including economic, political, competitive, regulatory and cultural factors becomes more complex, there is an increased demand for managers with the necessary skills, understanding, courage and energy to tackle the difficult demands facing organisations of all kinds. The Master of Business Administration (MAB) programme not only helps its students to develop the above skills that are highly valued by many employers but also presents a theoritical context for solving many business related problems. An MBA with different specialisation streams prepares an individual to meet the greater demands of tomorrow's advanced industrialisation.

Vivekananda School of Management Studies, a post graduation unit of Vivekananda College of Engg. & Technology, was established in the year 2007. The programme is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, and is recognised by AICTE, New Delhi. The department offers specialisation in Financial Management, Marketing Management and Human Resource Management (HR)

Programme structure: The programme consists of 30 courses spread over four semesters (2-years) and includes an Inplant Training and a Summer Project Work.

The department conducts UG and PG level intercollegiate fests and competitions every year for inculcating and enhancing organisational, managerial, and leadership skills in our students.

A separte computer laboratory with Internet connectivity has been provide to the department. The department also has a separate library which  receives about 30 National and International Journals and 14 Magazines.
